about geoff hill

Information Technology

Geoff Hill began working in information technology and using the internet in the 1980’s, several years before the world wide web was available. He developed his first website in 1992 and hasn’t stopped since then. He is passionate about keeping up-to-date with new and emerging technologies.

In the 1990’s Geoff Hill established and managed a small regional ISP, Nornet, which gave him a thorough understanding of web hosting as well as experience in developing business websites for clients.

Geoff’s background is in programming, systems analysis & design and database management. These foundations have made him an expert web application developer using database controlled content management systems such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, CMSMS, etc.

Geoff has also worked as a network administrator and continues to monitor developments in network security, virtual networks and cloud computing. Computer, mobile, network and website security are issues he takes very seriously.

Geoff Hill has over 20 years experience in web coding using php, javascript, jQuery, sql, html5 and css3. His aim is to provide clients with easy to use but effective websites that meet their needs. All sites Geoff Hill develops are tested in multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer) as well as on iOS and Android mobiles and tablets.

Geoff strives to ensure that all websites he is involved in meet government regulations for accessibility and usability. We work with a number of graphic designers to ensure that client websites are visually appealing and relate to their target audience.
